The KAO Instructors Conference 2026 will be held as a hybrid event, with both in-person and virtual attendance options available. 
Centre visit slots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to register early. 
Please contact your respective country in-charge for any enquiries on registration or cancellation. 

Pre-Registration For 10-Years Instructors
Pre-registration for 10-Years Instructors* will open on Monday, 22 June 2026 at 9:00 am (Singapore Time, UTC+08:00) and will close on Friday, 31 July 2026 at 11:59 pm (Singapore Time).

*If you are eligible, please make sure to obtain the referral code from your country-in-charge before registering.

General Registration
General registration for all Instructors and staff will begin on Monday, 6 July 2026 at 9:00 am (Singapore Time, UTC+08:00) and will close on Friday, 31 July 2026 at 11:59 pm (Singapore Time).

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I register for KAOIC 2026?

Visit the “Registration” page and complete the required fields in the form. After submitting, you will receive a verification email with a link to finalise your registration by completing a more detailed form in the registration portal.

2. When can I register for KAOIC 2026?

• Pre-registration for 10-years Instructors: Monday, 22 June 2026 at 9:00 am (Singapore Time, UTC+08:00) to Friday, 31 July 2026 at 11:59 pm (Singapore Time)

• General registration: Monday, 6 July 2026 at 9:00 am (Singapore Time, UTC+08:00) to Friday, 31 July 2026 at 11:59 pm (Singapore Time)

3. What if I want to extend my stay beyond the package's dates?

If you plan to arrive earlier or extend your stay, the group rate is available for up to 3 days before your selected package start date and through 2 December 2026, subject to room availability. To arrange an extended stay, please contact the hotel directly and quote the name used for your booking. Stays beyond this period will be charged at the hotel’s standard published rates.
4. What parking and transportation options are available at Shangri-La The Fort, Manila?
From the Airport

Express Train: Guests can take the KLIA Express train, which offers a non-stop 28-minute journey between KL Sentral and KLIA.

Public Transport Access

Monorail: The nearest monorail station is Bukit Nanas, located approximately an 7-minute walk from the hotel. 
LRT: The Dang Wangi LRT station is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. 

Parking Information at Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

• Enjoy complimentary parking throughout the stay.
• Parking operates on a cashless system, requiring a debit/credit card or Touch 'n Go card (with a minimum balance of RM30.00) for entry.

Non-staying Guests (Day Package attendees)
• Parking operates on a cashless system, requiring a debit/credit card or Touch 'n Go card (with a minimum balance of RM30.00) for entry.
• To enjoy complimentary* parking, please validate the same card used for entry at the concierge counter before exiting, by presenting your Kumon Conference badge.
• Without validation, a flat rate of RM18 nett per entry will apply.
*Complimentary parking is limited to the first 150 slots daily on 29 and 30 November 2025.

Whova is the official mobile and web app for the 2026 KAO Instructors Conference.

6. What is the dress code for the conference?

The dress code would be business casual, but it's advisable to have a jacket on hand for added comfort since the venue will be air-conditioned.

Information about the dress code for the dinner will be shared closer to the conference date.

7. What is the expected weather at Manila during the conference period?

In Manila, November marks the beginning of the cool and dry season. The average temperature ranges from 24°C to 31°C, providing a comfortable and pleasant climate for outdoor activities. The humidity levels are lower compared to the hot and rainy months, making it an ideal time to explore the city without feeling sticky or uncomfortable.

8. What food would be served at the conference?

Please note that all food served contains No Pork No Lard, if you have any special dietary requirements, please indicate them in the registration form.

10. Can my accompanying person(s) attend the conference?

Accompanying Person(s) registration is intended for those who would like to accompany the Instructor to Manila. However, it is important to note that the accompanying person(s) is not eligible to attend the conference sessions, coffee breaks, lunches and dinner, but they are welcome to register for the optional tour.

11. When should I book my flight?

Flight arrangements may vary between Kumon offices. The respective KAOIC country-in-charge will provide you with the flight booking procedures. If you have signed up for the Centre Visit, it is advisable to wait for confirmation from your office, expected around-mid August, before booking your flight.

12. How can I apply for airport transfer if I opt for the full package?

If you have selected the full package, you may request an airport transfer by submitting your flight details. Please refer to the Arrival & Departure section under Travel Matters on the Hotel & Travel page for full eligibility criteria.

Make sure to submit your flight details to your respective office by the end of September to ensure airport transfer arrangements can be made.

13. What should I do if I require a travel visa to attend the conference?

While you are completing the registration form, please confirm that you tick YES for the entry visa requirement and include your nationality, passport number, and the date of expiration.
